A five-story, 200-unit apartment development in Harrison will have studios, one- and two-bedroom apartments.
On 10 acres at 1 Webb Ave., the apartments will be close to interstates 287 and 95, the Hutchinson River Parkway, as well as have proximity to White Plains and its corporate-offices “platinum mile.” There will be shuttle service to Rye’s Metro-North commuter train station, according to a news release that announced Monday’s groundbreaking for the building.
Two landscaped courtyards will have grill and lounge areas, a heated pool, and fire pits. Five of the acres will be open space, including a walking trail system open to the public, a dog park and a community garden.
New apartments located in ‘highly desirable’ Harrison neighborhood
NRP Group said the new apartments at Webb Ave. are “located in a highly desirable neighborhood.”
Five percent of units will be for people earning 80% of the county’s median income.
“This development will offer ample green spaces and integrate beautifully designed architecture with top-notch amenities,” Jonathan Gertman, senior vice president of developer The NRP Group, said in the release. “This project underscores NRP’s commitment to creating exceptional living spaces and provides an attractive alternative living option for working professionals in Westchester County.”
NRP Group is the developer of the 179-unit Renaissance at Lincoln Park affordable housing complex in New Rochelle. Part of a “community-oriented development” that includes a revitalized Boys and Girls Club, The Renaissance has 20 studios, 96 one-bedrooms and 63 two-bedrooms.
Rents in some other Harrison buildings for one-bed apartments range from $2,500 to just over $4,000. Online listings showed asking rents of $3,945 and $4,050 a month for one-bedrooms in Avalon Harrison, as well as a $2,500 to $2,700 range for a one-bedroom in the Wood Works building.
