An investigation is underway after multiple apartment units were broken into months following a fatal fire at the Maple Ridge Apartment complex in East Hills. Officials tell Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 that two reported break-ins and thefts from two separate units currently unoccupied were broken into almost two months after a fire claimed the life of 2-year-old Praise Lemon and displaced over 60 people. She definitely made you smile, you know, she was all of our favorite, you know, like everybody up here, that was our Praise,” said next-door neighbor Arthur Jones following the fire in December 2024.Lemons’ older sister and mother were also injured in the fire. More than 11 units were damaged. “Both units have large TVs reported stolen,” a spokesperson said Tuesday. “One theft was reported Monday and the other earlier today.”Police are working with building management to determine if camera footage of the area is available.
